HISTORY:  Before becoming as The Chosen One, Buffy was a shallow and blissfully oblivious Valley Girl.  She was the Prom Queen, Fiesta Queen and a cheerleader at L.A.'s Hemery High.  In 1996, she learned about her destiny and was trained by her watcher to fight the undead.  It resulted in his death and the burning of Hemery's gym.  Buffy got kicked out of school and moved with her mom, Joyce Summers, to start fresh in Sunnydale after her parent's divorce.

Season One

Episode 1: Welcome to the Hellmouth
Buffy moves to Sunnydale and meets Xander, Willow, Cordelia, and her new watcher, Giles.

Episode 2: The Harvest
Buffy stops Darla and her vampire minions from opening the hellmouth and freeing The Master.

Episode 3: Witch
Buffy tries out for the cheerleading squad just as cheerleaders are going up in flames.

Episode 4: Teacher's Pet
Xander nearly loses his head to a She-Mantis intent on mating with and then decapitating virginal boys.

Episode 5: Never Kills a Boy On the First Date
Vampires attack as Buffy goes on a date.

Episode 6: The Pack
After a trip to the zoo, Xander gets "transpossessed" by a pack of African hyenas.

Episode 7: Angel
Buffy learns Angel is a vampire.  Darla frames Angel after she bit Buffy's mom, so Angel kills Darla.

Episode 8: I Robot, You Jane
Buffy battles Moloch, a demon who resides in computers and have a crush on Willow.  Also Giles meets Jenny Calendar.

Episode 9: The Puppet Show
Someone is killing and taking organs from his victims during a talent show.

Episode 10: Nightmares
The nightmares of a comatose child is turning into reality.

Episode 11: Out of Mind, Out of Sight
Buffy battles an invisible girl who's taking revenge on the A-list crowd for ignoring her, including Cordelia.

Episode 12: Prophecy Girl
Buffy learns she's destined to be killed by The Master on the night of the apocalypse.  On the night of the prom, she dies, but Xander revives her.  An angry Buffy gives The Master a taste of his own medicine.
 

Season Two

Episode 13: When She Was Bad
Haunted by her near death experience, Buffy returns from summer in L.A. with an attitude problem and no interest in any of her friends or duties.  Buffy also tries to make Angel jealous by being very slutty at the Bronze.  Without her, Giles and the rest of the gang are easily captured by The Annointed One in a scheme to resurrect The Master.  In the end, Buffy learns there's really only one solution to all problems.

Episode 14: Some Assembly Required
A dead football star turns into a Frankenstein monster by his science whiz-brother.  Cordelia becomes an unwilling candidate for a Mrs.Frankenstein.

Episode 15: School Hard
Spike and Drusilia come to town and introduce themselves in their own special way along with a gang of vampires to Buffy on Parent-Teacher Night.

Episode 16: Inca Mummy Girl
The old Xander luck strikes again, as he falls for an Incan princess who lives by feeding on the life force of others.

Episode 17: Reptile Boy
Buffy and Cordelia are drugged at a Delta Zeta soiree, only to wake up and find themselves as sacrifices to a giant snake.

Episode 18: Halloween
Thanks to Ethan and his spells, Buffy and the gang become what they are wearing.  Xander becomes a gung-ho soldier, while Willow becomes a ghostly vixen and Buffy, an 18th century airhead.

Episode 19: Lie to Me
Billy Fordham, an old friend of Buffy's, betrays her to Spike and Drusilia.

Episode 20: The Dark Ages
Something evil from Giles' past comes back to kill him.

Episode 21: What's My Line? Part 1
Spike sends demon assassins after Buffy while he steals the cure to the ailing Drusilia, Angel.

Episode 22: What's My Line? Part 2
Buffy learns the truth about Kendra as Xander and Cordelia make out while on the run from an assassin whose body is composed of worms.  Buffy and Kendra must stop Spike before he sacrifices Angel.

Episode 23: Ted
Joyce's perfect boyfriend turns out to be a psychotic robot played by guest star, John Ritter.  Buffy shows him the true meaning of "three's a crowd."

Episode 24: Bad Eggs
The eggs, the sex-ed teacher has his students "faux parenting," belongs to a giant prehistoric parasite in need of slaves.  Two red-neck vampires arrive in town at the wrong time.

Episode 25: Surprise
On Buffy's 17th birthday, she dreams that Drusilia will live and Angel will die.  Together, Angel and Buffy must prevent the vampires from obtaining the glove that will revive an invincible demon, The Judge.  Plus, Buffy do the "wild thing" with Angel.

Episode 26: Innocence
Due to a gypsy spell in which Angel will loses his soul if he achieves a moment of happiness, Angel joins Spike in tormenting Buffy and setting The Judge loose on the world.  Oz becomes one of the gang as Willow discovers the relationship between Cordelia and Xander.  After Buffy blows away The Judge with a missile launcher at the mall, she deals with Angel in hand-to-hand combat.

Episode 27: Phases
The gang discovers Oz is a werewolf, and Buffy must stop a hunter from killing him.

Episode 28: Bewitched, Bothered & Bewildered
After Xander gets dumped by Cordelia on Valentine's Day, he seeks Amy's help with a love spell.  As luck would have it, the spell backfires.  Instead of making Cordelia in love with him, it makes him "the man" as every woman in Sunnydale lusts after Xander.

Episode 29: Passion
Jenny Calendar is close to curing Angel, right before he snaps her neck.

Episode 30: Killed By Death
While flu-ridden in hospital, Buffy discovers a demon that sucks the life out of children and has worse taste in clothes than Freddy Krueger.

Episode 31: I Only Have Eyes For You
Buffy and Angel are possessed by guilt-ridden poltergeists intent on reliving their murders.

Episode 32: Go Fish
Xander goes undercover to discover the truth to the Sunnydale High's swim team.

Episode 33: Becoming, Part 1
Buffy discovers Jenny Calendar's computer disc with the soul-restoring incantation, as Angel plans to revive Acathla, a demon capable of sucking the world into hell.  Buffy is blamed for Drusilia's murder of Kendra.

Episode 34: Becoming, Part 2
On the run from the law, Buffy accepts Spike's help in taking down Angel.  Joyce learns the truth about her daughter.  Buffy learns that Angel's blood would be the only thing to stop Acathla once he's awaken.  At the end, Buffy runs Angel through with a sword after Willow had already help him regain his soul in order to seal the portal.  Afterward, she leaves town.
 

Season Three

Episode 35: Anne
With Buffy missing, the gang takes over her patrol duties in Sunnydale.  Meanwhile, Buffy is working as a waitress in the city.  One of her customers recognizes her and seeks her help in searching for her missing boyfriend, which ultimately leads Buffy into hell and back.

Episode 36: Dead Man's Party
Buffy comes home to a "welcome home" party.  However, everything is not as good as it seems.  Tempers flare at the party, moments before zombies, spurred by Joyce's new Nigerian mask, attack.

Episode 37: Faith, Hope & Trick
Faith, another slayer, arrives in town.  After getting reinstated at Sunnydale High, Buffy reveals to Giles and Willow why she had left town.

Episode 38: Beauty and the Beasts
A student has been found mauled to death in the woods.  Werewolf Oz is a suspect.  Buffy also suspects Pete, a jealous boyfriend who has develop a potion in an effort to keep his girlfriend.  Plus, Angel returns from hell.

Episode 39: Homecoming
Mr.Trick's "SlayerFest '98" begins during Buffy's bid for homecoming queen against Cordelia.

Episode 40: Band Candy
The adults of Sunnydale are turned into teenagers, and they are out of control.

Episode 41: Revelations
A woman arrives, claiming to be Faith's new watcher, causes a rift between Buffy and Faith.  The gang finds out that Buffy has been secretly hiding Angel.

Episode 42: Lover's Walk
Spike's back in town, and he has kidnapped Willow to perform a love spell on Drusilia for him.  Oz and Cordelia discover Xander and Willow kissing while in captivity.  Cordelia falls through a staircase after breaking up with Xander, and is impaled.

Episode 43: The Wish
Anya grants Cordelia her wish.  Buffy never came to Sunnydale, and the world is ruled by The Master and his minions, Xander and Willow.

Episode 44: Amends
On Christmas Eve, Angel is faced with the spirits of those who he has slain.

Episode 45: Gingerbread
Two dead children convince Joyce Summers into organizing parents into witch hunters.

Episode 46: Helpless
On her 18th birthday, Buffy must faced a crazed vampire without her powers.  In the process, Giles is fired by the Watcher's Council by interfering with the test.

Episode 47: The Zeppo
Xander tries to prove his worth to the gang, as they try to shield him from dangers.  While Buffy and the gang deals with demons escaping from the hellmouth, Xander gets laid by Faith and prevents a group of undead from bombing the school.

Episode 48: Bad Girls
Buffy gets a new watcher in Wesley.  Her relationship with Faith leads to the murder of an innocent man.  Plus, Buffy and Faith does some slutty dancing.

Episode 49: Consequences
Faith refuses to acknowledge her actions and instead pins the blame on Buffy.  The gang discovers the connections between Mr.Trick and the mayor.  Faith kills Mr.Trick and joins the mayor.

Episode 50: Doppelgangland
Seeking to reclaim her powers, Anya tricks Willow into summoning Sunnydale's evil alternate universe.  Willow meets her bad self.

Episode 51: Enemies
The mayor steals Angel's soul and paired Faith with him.  The duo subdue Buffy and torture her.  However, Angel never really lost his soul.  It was all a scheme to figure out the mayor's plan and Faith's relationship with him.

Episode 52: Earshot
After killing a telepathic demon, Buffy inherits the powers to read minds.  Trouble comes, when Buffy can't control her abilities or do anything about the threat of mass murder by a classmate.

Episode 53: Choices
The only way to rescue a captured Willow is for Buffy to trade a stolen box from the mayor for her.  The mayor and the gang faces off for the first time in the school cafeteria.

Episode 54: The Prom
Buffy is giving the gang a normal prom even if she has to kill to do it, when a pack of hellhounds is trained to attack teens in formal wears.  Buffy receives a Class Protector Award at the prom.

Episode 55: Graduation Day, Part 1
As the Ascension nears, Faith poisons Angel and only the blood of a slayer can saves him.  Buffy's solution: Faith.   The slayers battle until Faith escapes at the point of death.

Episode 56: Graduation Day, Part 2
With Faith gone, Buffy offers Angel her own blood to save him.  Upon recovery, Buffy and the gang organize the school into battle against the mayor at the school's graduation during the Ascension .
 

Season Four

Episode 57: The Freshman
Buffy goes to college and feels like an outcast.  She encounters a female vampire who attacks freshman, steal their belongings and makes it look like they left due to stress.  An angry Buffy with a broken arm gives her attackers a special treat after they have broken her Class Protector Award and trashed her clothes.

Episode 58: Living Conditions
Buffy suspects her roommate is a demon from hell.  The gang tries to prevent Buffy from killing her.

Episode 59: The Harsh light of Day
Spike is back in town, and he has a new girl, a vampiric Harmony.  Spike's searching for a ring that will enable him to walk into sunlight.  Meanwhile, Buffy slept with Parker and is dumped afterward, making Buffy wonders what's wrong with her.

Episode 60: Fear Itself
On Halloween, Buffy and the gang are invited to a haunted house party.  The presence of a fear demon has turned all the fears of the people into reality in order to manifest his physical self into the world.  Anya and Xander has officially become an item.

Episode 61: Beer Bad
Buffy and a group of seniors drink some beers that turn them into their primal selves.  Also, Buffy finally gets to knock Parker silly.

Episode 62: Wild at Heart
Oz and Willow breaks up when he's attracted to a female werewolf.

Episode 63: The Initative
Spike escapes from captive and seeks payback on Buffy.  As Riley tries to ask Buffy out, Spike goes after Willow.  Spike discovers he can't attack any living beings.

Episode 64: Pangs
Angel guest stars as Xander accidentally releases Indian spirits bent on revenge during Thanksgiving day.  Spike seeks Buffy and the gang for help.

Episode 65: Something Blue
Xander becomes a demon magnet, as Giles goes blind, and Buffy is getting married to Spike, when one of Willow's spell backfires.

Episode 66: Hush
Everyone in Sunnydale loses their voice, and those responsible are harvesting the organs of their victims.  Riley and Buffy learn more about each other's night activities.

Episode 67: Doomed
Buffy and the gang return to the remains of their charred high school, in order to stop three demons from destroying the world.  Plus, Spike discovers he's allowed to attack demons.

Episode 68: A New Man
After discovering the rest of the gang know that Buffy's new boyfriend, Riley, is one of the commandos, Giles feels out of the loop.  Buffy finds out that the head of the Initative is Professor Walsh.  Giles is transformed into a demon by Ethan Raynes and is hunted by an unsuspecting Buffy.

Episode 69: The I in Team
The gang feels left out, when Buffy spends more time with Riley and the Initative.  As Buffy gets closer to the truth, she becomes a liability in the eyes of Professor Walsh.

Episode 70: Goodbye Iowa
After Professor Walsh's death, Buffy learns the secrets of the Initative, when she seeks a cure for Riley's conditions.

Episode 71: This Year's Girl
Faith wakes up from her coma, seeking revenge on Buffy.  With a gift left to her from the Mayor, she will.

Episode 72: Who Are You
Faith switches bodies with Buffy.  Faith causes trouble with Buffy's body, while a trapped Buffy must prevent the Watcher's Council from taking her back to England with them.

Episode 73: Superstar
For some strange reason, Jonathon has become the ultimate celebrity and Buffy, his sidekick.

Episode 74: Where the Wild Things Are
The sexual activites of Buffy and Riley awaken a spirit within a fraternity house.

Episode 75: New Moon Rising
Willow must decide who to choose when Oz returns.  Spike joins alliance with Adam, while Riley and Buffy are now hunted by the Initatives.

Episode 76: The Yoko Factor
Spike manipulates Willow, Xander and Giles against each other, leaving Buffy alone against Adam.  Also, Riley versus Angel.

Episode 77: Primeval
When the demons escaped in the Initative headquarter, Buffy and the "Scooby Gang" reunite to take down Adam.

Episode 78: Restless
An ancient, primitive spirit stalks Buffy, Xander, Willow, and Giles in their dreams.
 

Season Five

Episode 79: Buffy vs. Dracula
Dracula comes to town, and he has Buffy in his throe.  Unlike other vampires, Dracula can turn into mist, change forms, control minds and can show his fangs without any ridges on his forehead.  He bites Buffy and turns Xander into his bug eating "butt monkey."  Buffy's encounter with Dracula shows her that she needs Giles to be her Watcher again, to help her learn more about the slayer's origins and powers.

Episode 80: The Real Me
Buffy has a new person in her life, Dawn, her sister.  And everyone's behaving as if Dawn's been there since the beginning, even Buffy.  Buffy's rivalry with her sister turns deadly, when Dawn invites Harmony into the house.

Episode 81: The Replacement
After an attack on a demon named Toth, Xander wakes up and discovers there's another Xander running around on the loose.  The gang must now decide which Xander to stand behind and which is the fake, if there is any.  The death of one Xander will also results in the death of the other.

Episode 82: Out of My Mind
Ben the intern helps Joyce Summers when she fell ill.  Meanwhile Riley is getting stronger everyday, and unless he receives treatment, he'll die.  Unfortunately, Spike has kidnapped the doctor to remove the chip in his brain.

Episode 83: No Place Like Home
Glory comes into town, a teenage girl in a red dress and high heels who can sling the slayer around like a rag doll.  Also Buffy discovers the truth about Dawn, and Giles opens the Magic Box.

Episode 84: Family
Tara's family comes to town on her 20th birthday.  To avoid the discovery of her true nature, Tara casts a spell that may spell doom for Buffy and the gang.

Episode 85: Fool For Love
With Buffy hurt, Riley goes on patrol in her stead.  Wanting to know the truth about slayers, Buffy seeks Spike's help.  As Spike reveals his past, Buffy learns a horrible truth about slayers.

Episode 86: Shadow
Buffy gets her butt kicked by Glory again, when she fails to stop Glory from creating a snake creature able to track down "The Key."

Episode 87: Listening To Fear
A creature has been summon to kill people with mental problems, and now it's been sent to kill Joyce.

Episode 88: Into The Woods
After the operation, Joyce recovers from her illness.  With Spike's help, Buffy discovers Riley has been paying vampires to suck on him.  Now, Buffy must decide whether or not to stop Riley from leaving Sunnydale for a secret military operation.

Episode 89: Triangle
One of Anya's ex-boyfriend, a troll with a hammer, is revived by one of Willow's magic spell gone wrong.  He forces Xander to choose between Willow and Anya.

Episode 90: Checkpoint
The Watcher's Council arrives to Sunnydale with a test for Buffy.  If she loses or refuses, they will have Giles deported.  Meanwhile, Buffy has other problems.  Glory shows up at her house, and men wanting to destroy "The Key" attack her.

Episode 91: Blood Ties
The gang learns more about Glory as they find out the truth about Dawn.  When Dawn learns she's "The Key," she runs away only to be confronted by Glory.

Episode 92: The Crush
Drusilia arrives in town just as Buffy discovers Spike has a crush on her.  Drusilia wants Spike to return to the family, while Harmony wants Spike to remain faithful to her.  In the end, Buffy battles Drusilia and Harmony with Spike being the deciding factor.

Episode 93: I Was Made To Love You
Buffy battles a female robot who is in search of her true love: her creator.

Episode 94: The Body
The death of Joyce Summers affects Buffy, Dawn and the rest of the gang in different ways.

Episode 95: Forever
Buffy gets a visit from Angel, while Dawn seeks Spike's help in resurrecting her mother.

Episode 96: Intervention
Buffy and Giles go on a spiritual journey as the rest of the gang holds down the fort at home.  Meanwhile, Spike gets his hands on a Buffy robot.  Since the minions of Glory decide the person closest to the Slayer is "The Key," they kidnap Spike.

Episode 97: Tough Love
In her search for the key, Glory attacks those who are the closest to Buffy.  Unfortunately, one of the gang has now fallen to her touch.

Episode 98: Spiral
Now that Glory knows Dawn is the key, Buffy has to leave town with those closest to her.  Too bad for the gang, Glory is not the only one looking for Dawn.

Episode 99: The Weight of the World
Ever since Dawn is captured by Glory, Buffy has entered into a comatose state.  It's now up to Willow to wake Buffy up.

Episode 100: The Gift
It's the ultimate showdown as Buffy battles Glory for Dawn before her blood is used in opening the portals between dimensions.  Someone must make a sacrifice in order to save the world.
 

Season Six

Episode 101: Bargaining Part 1
With Buffy dead, the gang tries to protect the world by convincing the world that Buffy is still alive with the help of the Buffy bot.

Episode 102: Bargaining Part 2
With the Buffy bot destroyed, many vampires realize Buffy is dead and Sunnydale is ripe for the picking.  Unknown to everyone, Xander, Willow and Anya attempts to resurrect Buffy from the dead.  Unfortunately, the vampires interrupt the ceremony before it's finished.

Episode 103: Afterlife
When Willow resurrected Buffy, something evil followed through.  Now the evil realizes Buffy must die in order for it to stay.  It possesses the bodies of each Scoobs to get close enough to kill her. 

Episode 104: Flooded
After her basement is flooded, Buffy realizes she needs money.  A demon attacks just as Buffy is asking for a loan at the bank.  With defeat at Buffy's hands, the demon seeks vengeance by attacking the slayer at her abode.

Episode 105: Life Serial
Buffy readjusts to normal life and goes job hunting to pay for mortage, when a troika of criminals involving Warren, Andrew and Jonathan tests Buffy's abilities with various traps.

Episode 106: All The Way
Everybody searches for Dawn when she and a friend goes on a dangerous trip with some boys for Halloween.  Unknown to the girls, their escorts are really vampires.  Willow and Tara has their first fight, but Willow places a spell on Tara to make her forget about it.  Also, Anya and Xander announce their engagement to everyone.

Episode 107: Once More With Feeling
It's the musical episode as a demon makes everybody sing in order to express their true feelings.  The gang learns Giles plans to leave and that Buffy was resurrected from heaven and not hell.  Spike discovers Buffy wants him to stay away, and Anya learns Xander is jittery about the impending wedding.

Episode 108: Tabula Rasa
After Tara discovers Willow had placed a spell on her to make her forget about their fight, Willow conjures another spell to make Tara forget.  Unfortunately, the spell goes wrong and the whole gang loses their memories, placing their lives in further jeapordy.

Episode 109: Smashed
Now that Willow and Tara has broken up, Willow finally realize she now has the power to return Amy from a rat to her human form.  Willow and her new witch friend goes out all night, having fun and causing mayhem with magic.  With Giles returned to England, Buffy relucantly seeks help from Spike in finding a demon with freezing powers.  Buffy's growing loneliness creates an intensifying attraction between her and Spike.

Episode 110: Wrecked
After a steamy night with Spike, Buffy realizes she must stay away from him.  Addicted to magic, Willow unintentionally causes harm to Dawn while on a night out.
